Chicken teriyaki

Chicken teriyaki is the kind of weeknight dinner that feels like a win—tender chicken glazed in a sweet and savory sauce that comes together faster than takeout. Kids and adults both love it, and it's a great way to get dinner on the table with minimal fuss.
Ingredients

- 1/4 cupsoy sauce
- 3 tbspmirin or honey
- 1 tbsprice vinegar
- 3garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbspfresh ginger, minced
- 2 tbspvegetable oil
- 1 tbspcornstarch
- 1/4 cupwater
- 2green onions, chopped
- 1 tspsesame seeds

Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, about 1 to 1½ inches.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water. Set the teriyaki sauce aside.

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Working in batches if needed, cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Transfer to a plate.

Add garlic and ginger to the same skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in the teriyaki sauce and bring to a simmer, stirring often, until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
