    Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat with diced onion and garlic, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

    Stir in drained black beans, corn, canned tomatoes (with juice), cumin, and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then spread into the prepared baking dish.
