There's something magical about homemade pizza night—everyone gathers around, builds their own slice, and suddenly dinner feels like a celebration. Whether you're stretching dough from scratch or using a frozen base, this is comfort food that brings the whole family to the table.
Ingredients
- 1 lbpizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tbspolive oil
- 1 cuptomato sauce or marinara
- 2garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cupswhole milk mozzarella, shredded
- ¼ cupparmesan cheese, grated
- handfulfresh basil
- as desiredtoppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions)

Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now.

Stretch or roll out your dough on a floured surface to fit a large pizza pan or baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil.

Stir minced garlic into your tomato sauce, then spread it evenly over the dough, leaving a ½-inch border for the crust.

Scatter mozzarella and parmesan over the sauce. Add your favorite toppings in an even layer—don't overload or the crust won't cook through.

Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned in spots.
